EFAA offers groceries from our main office in Boulder on Yarmouth Avenue. In FY10, over 4,000 families visited our food bank.
When clients’ need for food is identified during the in-take interview, they are invited to shop for groceries at the food bank. We offer a variety of foodstuff including: frozen meat, pasta, cereal, canned meals, canned fruit and vegetables, bread, rice and milk. Selection varies from week to week and depends heavily on donations. The EFAA food bank relies on thousands of individual supporters and receives about 100 food drives annually from schools, businesses and the faith community. These efforts are critical for filling in the gaps and offering variety after we receive our weekly allotment of staples from Community Food Share. Some organizations choose to drop off specific food donations each week or month. Others conduct large or neighborhood drives in the summer months, when donations are lighter.
