Many volunteers are needed to assist the furniture program with collecting and distributing furniture donations.
1. Participate in teams of volunteers to pick up furniture using personal vehicles and delivering to EFAA's furniture warehouse in north Boulder.
2. Provide administrative assistance and assist in the distribution of furniture to clients, which occurs every Saturday 1-2:30pm.
3. Provide physical assistance at our main office Tuesday or Friday afternoons.

Volunteers are needed to assist our children's caseworker with our after
school program. Volunteers would be working with children currently living in
our emergency and transitional housing. Activities could include:
1.Assist children with homework and various recreational activities
2.Research group activities; request donations for the program (free
tickets to events, lunches, supplies for program, etc.)
3.Lead a one-time or regularly scheduled craft or activity
The program runs after school, 2:45-4:45pm at the following locations:
Mondays & Thursdays in Longmont, Tuesdays & Fridays in Lafayette and
Wednesdays in Boulder.

Depending on the age, kids can be too young to volunteer at our offices, but their help is always needed! Here are a couple of examples of activities that kids can participate in to help EFAA:
Birthday boxes - Help children at our shelter celebrate their birthday in a fun way! Purchase supplies or solicit donations for "birthdays in a box." Anything you need to throw a birthday party so that it's handy for our children's program.

Shelter sponsors provide household supplies and personal hygiene products monthly, and work with staff to identify other creative, helpful ways to support the program (i.e., assisting the sponsored family during the holidays with meals, gifts, apartment repairs/maintenance). Shelter sponsors make a commitment of material supplies valuing approximately $50/month.
Requires a monthly check-in with the shelter caseworker.
