Recieve donations, sort and stock food in the food bank, making sure that food is available to families. Supervision of volunteers.

Guide clients through the food bank; assist with loading groceries into vehicles. Sort food and stock shelves.

Assist children with homework and various recreational activities, research group activities and request donations, lead a one-time or regularly scheduled craft or activity.

Volunteers needed in Boulder, Lafayette and Longmont.

This volunteer will work out of our Lafayette office and assist the caseworker with day to day operations and special projects. Answering phones, greeting clients, prepare applications for clients, data entry and other office duties as assigned.

EFAA's Holiday Food Basket program provides some fixings for a holiday meal. All sorts of volunteers are needed to help run the program. Packing bags, delivering to the home bound, leading volunteer groups, assisting with distribution, tracking information and dataentry. If you have any of the above skills, you are needed!

Interviewing clients to assess food, furniture, transportation and/or medical needs.

Filing, accounting, mailing, data entry, spread sheets, phone calling , scheduling volunteers, and special projects .

Event planning, donor contact, decorating, designing signs and possibly serving on the EFAA Guild or Board.

Coordinating groups to collect and deliver items needed for the food pantry.

Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, organizing, cleaning and gardening.

Assist the Household Connection program with collecting and distributing furniture donations. Warehouse is open to clients every Saturday 12-2:30pm. Assistance is also needed some Friday afternoons.

Shelter sponsors provide household supplies and personal hygiene products monthly, and work with staff to identify other creative, helpful ways to support the program (i.e., assisting the sponsored family during the holidays with meals, gifts, apartment repairs/maintenance).
Requires a monthly check-in with the shelter caseworker.

Depending on the age, kids can be too young to volunteer at our offices, but their help is always needed! Here are a couple of examples of activities that kids can participate in to help EFAA:

Birthday boxes - Help children at our shelter celebrate their birthday in a fun way! Purchase supplies or solicit donations for "birthdays in a box." Anything you need to throw a birthday party so that it's handy for our children's program.
