Smith family thank you
Thank you letter to EFAA, about help provided a few years ago.

Dear EFAA,

I am writing this short letter to let you know just how much we thank EFAA and ECHO house for their help. We are a low income family of six. My husband works for 9 years in the transportation industry. We live in Boulder in a mobile home community. We were living in a two bedroom, one bath with six people. As the boys began to get older and our daughter was born, it became ever so cramped in our home. We looked to buy a house in Boulder, but we could not afford it. Renting was also a very costly option. We decided to purchase another mobile home to replace the old one. We got a four bedroom, two bath and made all the arrangements to have it brought in and set up. Much to our dismay the contractors made several mistakes, making it take longer than the agreed upon two week period.

We became homeless for a couple of months. It was at this time that we contacted EFAA about our situation. My husband was still working at his job and I am a stay at home mom. Things were looking pretty bleak. We were not sure of what we were going to do next. That’s when EFAA stepped up to help us out, and found housing for us for most of the duration of our transition.

We are ever so grateful to EFAA for helping us in our time of such great need. We may not have made it as an intact family thorough those times had it not been for those who helped us. We were extremely stressed out as you can imagine. It strengthened us as a family and made us so very thankful for our community as a whole. It was the saving grace that kept us all together and whole to make this transition possible. We are so pleased to report that it was one of the most generous gifts we could ever have received.

We are still living in our new home though it has seen some wear and tear for three growing boys, but it has been a blessing for the last ten years. We would really like to express our gratitude for all that EFAA has done for us as a family struggling to make it in this high priced economy in Boulder. I know that it serves others as wonderfully as it has us. I will continue to pray that EFAA remains an essential and much needed asset to our town. Thank you again for all you have done for us and so many others, and for those in the future that are yet to be helped. Please know that you are appreciated for helping those in need.

Thankfully yours,

The “Smith” Family
