A Community Lifeline

A hand up when life takes a downturn: EFAA helps those experiencing an immediate short-term crisis, as well as those working poor families whose expenses sporadically exceed their incomes.

EFAA helps the working poor, the homeless and near-homeless sustain themselves so they can eventually move toward self reliance.  One-time help with rent, utility bills and other necessities is part of a package of services, including important referrals, available to be matched with clients’ verified needs.

EFAA’s Food Bank provides take-home groceries to those struggling to feed their families.   The Furniture Program uses donated furniture to help clients feel more comfortable in their homes.

EFAA is a dignified safety net for those who want to remain self-sufficient and productive during a time when they are experiencing temporary economic challenges, often due to situations beyond their control.  No one should have to choose between buying food and paying a heating bill.

EFAA supports efforts toward financial stability and self sufficiency through casework and advocacy.
